From August 18 to 22, the 18th Heilongjiang Student Sports Meeting martial arts and table tennis competitions were held in Mudanjiang Normal University. Our 19 athletes participated in 22 wushu events and 10 table tennis events and achieved great achievements.

The martial arts competition was attended by 176 athletes from 21 universities in the province. The martial arts team of our school is led by Wu Weimin, a teacher from the Sports Department, with Li Wei as the coach. There are 10 players in the team. After three days of competition, we got one gold, one bronze, three fourth places and 12 top eight places.

More than 300 athletes from 30 colleges and universities in the province participated in the table tennis competition. The table tennis team of our school is coached by Qu Lianzhu and has 9 players. In the five-day competition, our school won the fourth place of men's team, the third place of men's doubles of Group A, the seventh place of men's doubles of Group A and the fourth place of women's doubles of Group A.

Before the competition, our school team overcame the difficulty of not returning to school for systematic training in the spring semester, and carried out a one-month on-campus training in the summer vacation. They overcame the physical and psychological pressure, and fully displayed the spirit of perseverance, not afraid of strong players and striving forward on the field，and won the honor for NEPU.

On September 2nd, our school participated in the provincial school sports meeting online. The meeting was designed to recognize the outstanding collective and individual performance in the school sports work in Heilongjiang Province in the past three years. At the meeting, Yuan Hong, director of Sports Department of our school, made an experience exchange report entitled "Innovative Ideas, Cultivating Characteristics, Creating a New form of College Sports". Our school won the Heilongjiang Province Excellent School Sports work advanced unit, this is the school has won this honor for two consecutive years; Dong Jie, Wang Hao and Shiguang won the title of Advanced Individual of Heilongjiang Excellent School Sports Work.

It is reported that due to the impact of the epidemic, the 18th Student Sports Meeting in Heilongjiang Province has been temporarily postponed, and other teams in our school have not been able to participate in the competition.
