Introduction totheSchool of Offshore Oil and Gas Engineering

The School of Offshore Oil and Gas Engineering, the youngest department of Northeast Petroleum University, was founded in 2020 and was formerly known as the Offshore Oil and Gas Engineering Department of the School of Petroleum Engineering. The school was established to meet the needs of the national marine strategy and energy strategy, as well as the development idea of "strengthening the land, expanding the sea, and strengthening the new" to build a century-old university. Marine oil and gas engineering is the main major in the oil and gas industry, ranking third in China for four consecutive years on the Science and Education Network and the Alumni Network. The undergraduate employment rate has broken the historical record for two consecutive years. In 2019, it was approved as the Key Laboratory of Natural Gas Hydrate in Heilongjiang Province. It was approved as the first-class undergraduate major construction in Heilongjiang Province in 2021 due to oil.The School of Offshore Oil and Gas Engineering has formed the deep oil and gas drilling engineering, hydrate and efficient intelligent development characteristics of oil and gas in offshore oil field development and research direction and is gradually strengthening cooperation with CNOOC’s "Seven-Year-Action Plan" project. It is now actively building deep cooperation with the "14^th Five-Year Plan" major projects of CNOOC, the Department of Hainan Province, the National Ministry of Industry, and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
