Recently, the 7th National College Students Physics Experiment Competition (innovation competition) final came to an end. All the five teams from Northeast Petroleum University won prizes, among which Wang Mingyao won the national first prize and Jiang Chenyang won the national second prize. The proposition track Yunli Wuli team won the national second prize, Liming Lake team won the national third prize; Songhuajiang team won the national third prize. This is the best result that the university has achieved in this competition over the years, and the proportion and quality of awards are among the top domestic universities.

It is understood that this competition is jointly sponsored by the Physics Discipline Group of the Joint Conference of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, the National Experimental Physics Teaching Research Association, and the Physics Teaching Steering Committee of the Chinese Physical Society. It is the only physics competition selected in the ranking list of the 2020 national college students' competition, aiming to improve the innovative ability, cooperative spirit, and practical ability of the participating students. The competition is divided into three track forms: proposition type, lecture type and optional type. 1587 teams from more than 400 colleges and universities across the country competed on the same stage. Finally, about 10% of the participating projects decided through online defense won the national first prize.

Northeast Petroleum University attaches great importance to this competition. Since March, it has been organized by the University Physics Experiment Teaching Center of the School of Physics and Electronic Engineering of the University, with the assistance of relevant departments, to carry out school competition selection, preliminary work acceptance and defense, and to select five teams to enter the national finals.
