On March 25, it was learned from the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of Northeast Petroleum University that a total of 15 units were selected as the fourth batch of Heilongjiang Province Social Science Popularization Base after organizing application, investigation, evaluation and examination and approval, and Northeast Petroleum University Daqing Spirit Education Pavilion was listed among them.

The approval of the pavilion shows that the university has always adhered to the Daqing Spirit of education, and this issue plays an important role in telling the Iron Man story, Daqing story and China story, popularizing social science knowledge, spreading advanced ideology and culture, and improving the scientific literacy of the public. In the future, Daqing Spirit Education Pavilion will further strengthen its own construction and management, highlight the functions of demonstration, driving, radiation and education, and make new contributions to better training new people with "five hearts and four strengths" Daqing Spirit traits, play the role of social science popularization base, improve the degree of social civilization, and promote the construction of modern New Heilongjiang Province.

It is understood that Daqing Spirit Education Exhibition Hall, built by the Daqing Spirit Research Base of the University, is the only red culture and education special museum with Daqing Spirit as the theme in domestic universities. With an investment of nearly 2 million yuan and a building area of 500 square meters, the exhibition hall is divided into two parts: exhibition hall and training experience room. It integrates the functions of red culture education, Daqing Spirit dissemination and school education achievements display. In April 2020, the pavilion was rated as the model unit of civilized campus window in Heilongjiang Province. There are 35 teachers and students lecturers in the exhibition hall, which is open to both teachers and students in the school and the society for free. Every year, more than 200 lectures on Daqing Spirit are made for teachers and students of the school and enterprises and public institutions in the province and the city, with an audience of more than 10,000 people. It gives full play to the role of public cultural services in the construction of Daqing civilized city, and becomes an important front of patriotic education.

In 2020, the Daqing Spirit publicity group composed of student lecturers in the exhibition hall overcame the epidemic cloud to preach the Daqing Spirit of Iron Man spirit, and released the video on media platforms such as Douyin and B Station, which was also intensively reported by national and provincial media, fully demonstrating the achievements of Daqing Spirit of Iron Man spirit education of the school and creating a new publicity carrier.
