Recently, Professor Li Dong, Vice Dean of the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture of our university, was invited by many journals, such asNanomaterials(IF=5.076, JCR Zone 1),Sustainability(IF=3.251, JCR Zone 2),Energies(IF=3.004, JCR Zone 3),Batteries, Clean Technologies,and took the lead in organizing a special issue themed "Clean and Low Carbon Energy" to solicit contributions from experts in relevant fields around the world.
The research on clean and low-carbon energy system has made significant achievements in the past decade, but still faces major challenges in the implementation of new theories, methods and requirements. Therefore, the purpose of this special issue is to promote the development of innovative technologies in the energy field and promote the construction of a clean and low-carbon energy system.It is reported that the university-level outstanding young and middle-aged innovation team of "New Energy Utilization and Pollutant Control in Cold Areas" led by Professor Li Dong has been committed to the basic research of solar thermal transmission in glass envelope structures for a long time. He has presided over more than 10 projects including National Natural Science Foundation Projects and youth projects, National Postdoctoral Foundation special grants and Projects (class 1), National Scholarship Fund, CNPC Innovation Fund and the first batch of "uncover the list and take the lead" science and technology research projects in the field of new energy in Daqing, forming a stable scientific research direction in the field of energy conservation of glass enclosure structures.He has published a series of high-level papers in key foreign journals likeApplied Energy、Energy Conversion and Management、International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer、Energy and Buildingsand so on.
