Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the second batch of "National Colleges and Universities Huang Danian style Faculty Team", and the oil and gas resource exploration faculty team led by Professor Lv Yanfang of our school was selected.

The faculty team for oil and gas resource exploration is a teaching team of the same age as NEPU, with professor Lv Yanfang as the main leader.

Since its establishment, the team has been adhering to the prinviple of learning and teaching by virtue, and has constantly built and grown into a high-quality team that loves and contributes to the posts, takes root in Longjiang and serves the oilfield.The team sticks to the original intention of establishing morality and cultivating people, consciously acts as a guide for students' growth, runs the Daqing spirit and iron man spirit through the whole process of talent training, deeply cultivates the family and country feelings of "cheering for the motherland and winning for the nation", and guides students to go to difficult places and places where the motherland needs most;The team focuses on the frontier of science and technology, pays attention to exploration and innovation, takes serving the major strategic needs of the country and regional economic and social development as its own responsibility, insists on writing the paper on the black land, promotes the transformation and landing of a large number of scientific and technological achievements, and contributes wisdom and strength to ensuring the national energy security.

Over the years, the team has helped our university to create new engineering experimental classes such as Iron Man Innovation class, bachelor and Master continuous study class, "Belt and Road" Russian characteristic class, artificial intelligence exploration and shale oil and gas orientation, etc; it has been approved as one national experimental teaching demonstration center, one national off-campus practice education base, and two national first-class courses;in recent years, it has won 1 National Science and Technology Progress Grand Prize, 2 National Science and Technology Progress Second Prizes, 2 Provincial Governor Special Prizes, 4 Provincial and Ministerial First Prizes, 8 Second Prizes, and 3 provincial science and technology innovation teams.As a core technology team, Songliao Basin shale oil survey has made major breakthroughs and was selected as one of the "Top 10 Geological Science and Technology Progress" in 2017 and 2019;the team expanded geothermal resource research in the 1990s, which supported the rapid rise and development of Daqing geothermal industry;"The Town of Hot Springs in North China" has become a shining name card of the city.At present, the team plays an important role as a think tank in helping Daqing shale oil exploration and development;since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, 50 members of the team, including Fu Xiaofei, Shi Ying, Zhang Yunfeng, Sun Yonghe and Liu Bo, have won provincial and above awards in teaching and scientific research.

It is reported that in order to continue to deeply implement the spirit of the General Secretary---Xi Jinping's important instruction to Comrade Huang Danian's advanced deeds, the Ministry of Education has carried out the second batch of "National Colleges and Universities Huang Danian style Faculty Team" activities. A total of 200 faculty teams have been selected, including several academician teams. The first batch of creation activities was judged in 2018, and a total of 200 faculty teams were selected.
